Configure and further actions

For the export, there is no editing necessary. If you chose the wrong view, then it can be changed with the first action button, “edit”. In our example, we don’t have to do it, so we continue with the publishing. Click on the third icon in the column, like in the screen.

  1. After clicking on the publish button, the following dialog will appear

  2. In our example, we can just click on the confirm button and the feed is published.

  3. Last step is to get the export as a downloadable file. That is the aim of our export type. Click on the last icon button in action column like in the screen.

  4. Then you get to see this dialog

  5. You can copy the link by simply click on “copy” and the link can be run in a new tab.

  6. You will get a downloadable CSV File which can now be opened and that’s it.

If you prefer that columns in the file are separated, then before you run the link, add “&&separator=;" at the end of the copied URL.

Data Feed: Import

If you want to have an import data feed, do the following instructions:

Adding a new Data Feed

  1. Click on the “+ Add” - button.

  2. The following dialog should appear:

  3. Type your desired name. For Example: “google-sheet”

  4. Select the feed type: Import

  5. After selecting the feed type “import”, you can select the category.
For this example, choose the “google sheet feed”

  6. For import, there is also an API key needed. Click on the “generate” button and the API key will be visible.

  7. Click on save and the import data feed will be seen in the list view

Configure and further actions

For the import, you have to set some parameters before doing the same steps as in export part.

  1. For that, click on the first button icon “edit”.

  2. Now you see this dialog

  3. For our example, we only have to set the parameters source ID, sheet range and the destination table.

  4. But before that, we need to have a Google sheet first. Follow the instruction:

    1. The Google Sheet configured for load must share VIEW PERMISSIONS with our service account boxalino-google-sheet-feed@rtux-data-integration.iam.gserviceaccount.com

    2. To do that, first open your desired Google sheet.

    3. Click on the right, but where the green Share button is.

    4. Now you see this box here, you have to paste the above-mentioned service account and enter. After that, set for that account the permission “Viewer” and click done.

  5. 1: Copy this part of the link and paste it in the dialog where it says Source ID
2: First select the area of data which you want to import in our System, then copy the text which range is needed into sheet range e.g. A1:C10

  6. For the destination table, we choose for this example: “google_sheet_test_two” after that you can click save

  7. The rest process is the same procedure as export. First publish the feed and then load.

  8. If you run the link, which you received from the load dialog. The following screen should appear:

  9. Now an employee of our Boxalino team can see the imported data from the Google sheet.
