Would you like to set a facet (i.e.: filtering option) on your search or product listing pages?

For your informationTypically, your E-shop will automatically request facets to be displayed. These facets do not necessarily need to be added. Missing facets can therefore also be added configured in our admin, but could be only configured in your E-shop configurationback-end instead.

Click on the Add button and a new empty facet will apear appear at the bottom top of the list (paginate to the last page if needed). Then click on the pencil icon on the right of the table row to edit your facet.

In the context Tab, set at least one Widget (typically 'search' or 'navigation' or both) to indicate in which type of page you would like the facet to appear. Then select a field name (this is the product attribute to be used for the facet). You can select more than one field to configure several facets in one step.

Go in the Values Tab to define a label for the facet and click on the "force include" checkbox, otherwise, the facet will not be added unless requested by the e-shop. All the other parameters are optional and affect the display of the facet. The most important ones are the Order (smallest number first, you can set negative values to force a facet on top), the Display Type (should it appear collapsed or already expanded), The Value Order (Alphabetical or per Counter) and Show Counter (if you want to see the counter next to each facet value). For more information about the other options, please refer to our documentation.

After you are finished with your changes, click the 'Test' Button and, after the confirmation dialog appears, test your facets in your stage web-site (if assuming it is connected to the current account dev index). If you are working on a separate stage account, you will need to publish to see the changes. AfterWhen all is tested, you can publish the changes in the Publishing view.
