Usergroups

In this menu you can create groups for your users. For example, you could create a group called Plugin Development. The People should be able to access the testing so that they can check if their code works. A different group you called Documentation should have access to everything, so that they can document a complete process.

To create a new usergroup, simply click on the add-button, fill in the Label and click on save:

To edit or remove any usergroup, click on the pencil or trashcan button respectively.

Tip

To get started easily, first create one or several user groups and after create the users associating each user to one of the user groups (smile)

User groups

You can find the User Groups in the menu User Management > User groups:

A user group defines a level of access for a certain group of users.

In the user group view, you only define the level of access. Then, it will be the users themselves which will be connected to a group in the User View (as described below).

To create a User Group, click on the “+ Add” button on the top left and then enter a clear access level name, like for example : “full_access”.

Then select a level in the list and press save:

Very limited access, only for people who need to edit campaigns or content without publishing or push data rights

5 - full access read only

Users

In this menu you can create the users, that should have access to your account. To create a new user, click on the add-button. The username should be unique and somewhat descriptive to make management easier. To en- or deactivate the user, simply adapt the Status-switch. Under Group you can define to which usergroup the user belongs to.

To save the user click on save. To edit or delete the user, click on the pencil button or the trashcan button.

 

 

1.3 User group accesses

This menu is used to manage the accesses for the usergroups and users. Give the access a label you can recognize and set the status of the accerss to active or inactive depending on your needs. You can grant and exclude the access from user groups and individual users specifically.

You can also define a timespan, where the access should be active. For example you could do this if you have a trainee, who is only working at your company for a week.

E-mail: provide an e-mail address that is connected to a Google Account (it might be a Gmail account, but it can also be your company’s standard e-mail address if you have linked it with a Google Account, as described here : https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/176347?hl=en-NG ).

The Group this user has access to.

The other fields can be filled, but are not required.

Pressing save will immediately give access (or change the access) of the user (no need to publish).

 For the first login (per account) of the user, the “Nutzungsbedingungen der Boxalino AG” will need to be approve before the access is granted as per the following screen-shot.
