When do you need to add a new

WPO Widget?

1. You want to connect a product recommendation block in a page of your web-site

2. You want to connect another dynamic block in a page of your web-site (e.g.: blogs recommendations, banner personalization, …)

3. You want to add a new Narrative in a page of your web-site

4. You want to add additional dynamic components in an existing Narrative

Step 1: Select the right

First, Log in Boxalino Intelligence Admin (link)

On the first page, select a TPO WPO (look at the description of TPOs WPOs to find the best match, based on the following logic:

1. If it is about a product recommendation block (without a complete narrative layout) select a TPO WPO of the bottom line:

   1. WELCOME = on the home page and very general other start and landing pages

   2. SEARCH = on search, or menu navigation pages and specific landing pages (typically, landing pages showing directly a product list)

   3. UP-SELL = on the product detail page

   4. CROSS-SELL = on the basket page or basket overlay

   5. RE-BUY = on the account page

   6. INDIVIDUALIZE = on the e-mail

2. If it is about another type of dynamic content (without a complete narrative layout), select a TPO WPO of the second line

   1. PROMOTE = banner (on any page)

   2. READ = blog (on any page)

   3. PROFILE = survey/questions (on any page)

3. If it is about a narrative layout select a TPO WPO of the 3rd line:

   1. PRESENT = on the home page and very general other start and landing pages

   2. TELL = on search, or menu navigation pages and specific landing pages (typically, landing pages showing directly a product list)

   3. PERSUADE = on the product detail page

Step 2: Create a new Widget

On the dialog box, you will see some statistics and the list of existing widgets in this TPOWPO.

Click on the + Add Widget button on the bottom left:

Then wait until you see a new Dialog Box:

Step 3: Publish Your Configuration

If you only want to test the new Widget in a test front-end which is connected in Test Mode (if you are not sure if it is connected in test mode, please ask your IT Manager responsible for the integration of Boxalino), then you are done, no need to do anything else.
