MAKE SURE THAT YOUR BIGQUERY REGION IS “Multi-Region EU
and not another one like “europe-west-6”

Link BigQuery to a Google Analytics 4 property

First make sure you are using an email address that has OWNER access to the BigQuery Project and also EDITOR role for the Analytics property you want to link.

Go to https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/#/ and check in the admin section the account and property. Then click BigQuery links.

Click on Link to create a new connection.

Click Choose a BigQuery project.

Select your project from the list, then click Confirm.

MAKE SURE THAT YOUR BIGQUERY REGION IS “Multi-Region EU
and not another one like “europe-west-6”

Add advertising identifiers if desired and check the frequency options. Also include the daily user data export.

Review your settings and click submit.

After the link is created it might take up to 24 hours for your data to appear in BigQuery.

You will then be able to query your data.

Share your datasets access with the Boxalino Service Account emails and the Datastudio email

You can share a dataset by clicking on the three dots next to the name and select “Share Dataset”.

In the Dataset Permissions Click on Add Principals in the top right corner.

As of April 1st 2024, share permissions with the following Google Workspace group bi-with-ai.<client>@boxalino.com

The created Google Workspage group @boxalino.com (client-specific) is managed to include the required ServiceAccounts & users (as described bellow). Additionally, the client can provide other emails to be included in the list. This will contribute to an access transparency and ease of management.

You can copy the list of emails from above and paste them in the “New principals“ field. Provide read access (Data Viewer/Metadata Viewer roles) and click on “Save”.

Let Boxalino know the name of the project and dataset and we will integrate it to your data lake.
