Segments

Segments can be explained simply by calling them context conditions. They basically define if something (e.g. a use-case or a response configuration) should be applied in a specific context.

When you navigate to the Segments-menu under Merchandising->Segments, you will be faced with a view similar to the menu of the Widget & Page Optimizers.

You can create new segments the same way, by typing a name for the segment and then clicking on add new. This will open a new view, which looks similar to the view of the Edition of a Widget & Page Optimizer and also functions similarly. You can click on the Segment templates and pull them to the configuration on the right.

To edit the template, simply click on them to open them, the same way as the use-cases. When you have configured them like you want, you can click on

and after testing, go to deployment -> publishing and publish the configuration live.
