Campaigns are marketing strategies you can create. You can define a JSSOR banner and define various properties that the campaign should encompass. The goal is to describe the campaign as clearly as possible, so that the strategy is as effective as possible.

To do this, open the Campaigns-Menu under Marketing > Campaigns and create a new campaign by clicking on the add-button.

A dialog labelled unique key will pop up, there you have to type in the name of your new campaign. The name of the campaign will be unique, that means no other campaign can have the say name, so be careful what name you give, if you want to change it you have to delete the whole campaign and create a new one. Use a descriptive name, so you can recognize it from the campaign-view.

This is how the campaign is configured.

First you can define a title for the campaign.

Under type you can choose if the campaign should be always available of only during a given time period.

The most important part of the campaign are the Targets. Here you must define everything the banner and the campaign is about. In this example here I'm saying, that I want the campaign to be about products, which are in the category 9 (Skis), are from the brand LEKI and are made of Aluminium.

Inside the Content tab, you’ll find the Material which is relevant for the banner. There you’ll find a dropdown with two default options Standard and JSSOR Banner. If you have some Visual Elements (explained in the chapter 16.4 Visual Elements), they would appear beneath the JSSOR Banner option, in my case the HTML one.

In the Advanced tab you can simply add some custom parameters, if you need them.

When you have finished configuring your campaign, click on save and then click on Push data. The campaign will appear in our index after the next data sync.
